The Surrealism of the Centre Pompidou from Paris to Pisa

The Fondazione Palazzo Blu celebrates the tenth anniversary of its birth with an exhibition entitled “From MAGRITTE to DUCHAMP. 1929: the Great Surrealism from the Center Pompidou.”

Open to the public at Palazzo Blu from 11 October 2018 to 17 February 2019.

There will be about 90 works on display, including pictorial masterpieces, sculptures, surrealist objects, drawings, collages, installations and photographs arriving in Pisa to show the extraordinary adventure of the surrealist avant-garde, through the masterpieces produced at its apogee, around year 1929, by a group of artists who worked in that Paris forge of the Avant-gardes and capital of world artistic development.
The protagonists of this exhibition will be René Magritte, Salvador Dalí, Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst, Giorgio De Chirico, Alberto Giacometti, Man Ray, Joan Miró, Yves Tanguy, Pablo Picasso with some of their most significant
